The Hunter, a role between Guard and Guerrilla

The Tiger is defended by the Guard. The role of the Guard is simple and works the same for all defenders.
The Panther can be defended by the Hunter or the Guerrilla. The female Panther is mostly defended by a Guard. This is because the female defender cannot steal the ball in the rebound area, because she is often not tall enough.
Because the roles of Guerrilla and Hunter are extensions of the role of the Guard, these roles can only be played by specialists. The roles of Hunter and Guerrilla need a long quality training and can be very risky. The Hunter and the Guerrilla should learn to get a good insight in the balance of risk and control. She/He should judge the situation in a split second: to go for an interception or to stay in control.
When the Tiger and the Panther are male players, the defender of the Panther can sometimes play like the Hunter or Guerrilla. The Hunter chases and presses the Panther far from the post (The pressure of a Guard who gives pressure on the position of the Panther and the ball line to the Panther).
The Hunter can read the play of the attack, especially the role of the Panther, very well. The Hunter can change his defense: sometimes he plays as a guard and sometimes he gives support to the Guard of the Tiger by squeezing to the center lines. The Hunter is a good and fast runner and a good jumper. He has a special instinct (timing) when he can leave the Panther somewhere far from the post.
The Hunter forces the Panther to play in the outskirts of the attacker's division, nearby the lines of the division. He forces the Panther in a wide action radius from the post. By doing this, the Panther's role is reduced to a passing role.
Every time the panther is pressed in a positions wide from the post, the Hunter can squeeze more nearer to the post. In this position he can help the Guard of the Tiger and the Center who defends the Bear. Especially when the Tiger is busy to develop his attacker's role. When there is a distance shot the Hunter can come to steal the ball and help the Center.
So the Hunter as well as the Guerrilla (terrorist) can play very intimidatingly against the Attack.
