Dutch Championship 1-1

Sunday 27th Mai 2012 ONDO, a Dutch club from 's - Gravenzande organised the fifteenth edition of the Open Dutch Championship 1-to-1 korfball.
1-to-1 is a korfball exercise that is much done during trainings.
Now there was the championship of the Netherlands.
The rules are similar to the korfball game
Besides that there are special rules:

Playing Rules 1-to-1:
1. The field of play is a circle with a radius of 13 meters.
2. The field of play is marked out by a clearly visible circle line.
3. One korfball post is fixed in the center of the circle.
4. In the pitch there is another circle around the post of a radius of 6 meters.
5. At a whistle the game, a 1-1 duel, started inside the 13 meters circle.
6. An attacker against a defender. The duel lasts 45 seconds. During this time the attacker has to score as much as possible. The attacker is assisted by a player, he chooses. This player is assisting and rebounding the ball.
7. The defender is doing everything possible to prevent scoring, within the normal korfball playing rules
8. Shooting from motion has never been defended and is not an infringement
9. The defender may not push the ball away to gain time.
10. Violations are punished by a penalty after 45 seconds taken by the attacker.
11. A goal within the 6 meter circle counts for 2 points. A goal scored outside the circle of 6 meters counts as 1 point.
12. If both players (against each other) have attacked and defended then there is a result of the duel between them.

This sunday there were about 20 participants. There were very strong players from the Korfbal League and also there were National team players.
About 1500 enthusiastic visitors were around the pitch.
At the end the new champion was Jim Snel. He is a player from Allen Weerbaar, a talented man.
